Bebiana & Alexandre's Pre-Wedding Shoot

Leave it to Europe to have spectacular locations to photograph! Not to mention this beautiful couple Bebiana & Alexandre. Oscar and I have been doing more and more work back in Portugal. For us it's amazing considering we get to LEAVE THE COUNTRY for a bit, and when we go back home we get to promote our work and see our families and friends.

Bebiana and Alexandre are getting married July 14 of this year. When she contacted me, we had JUST booked a wedding for that date a few days before. Disappointing, as we would have loved to capture their day, but since Oscar and I were going to Portugal for Christmas, we did their pre-wedding shoot and "making of" video. At least they got a little taste of Karizma :)

I loved loved loved this location! I had spotted it from the highway and HAD to find it!

When my best friend Kevin asked me to do a photoshoot of him and his sweetheart, I knew exactly where I was gonna take them.

It was a little scary considering this train was actually at a train yard and was working. Our hearts stopped every time the train sounded like it was gonna take off. I was getting ready to jump off! hehe.

It was a great time though! They are great models and soooo in love! Kevin definitely deserved to find someone like Maria! You guys are so perfect for eachother! I couldn't be happier!!!

This photo kills me everytime I look at it...hehehehe.

Angela & Derek's Wedding

What love birds!!! Angela and Derek have got to be the cutest couple I've ever met. They have known eachother since they were super super young and ended up "happily ever after"! It's beautiful seeing them together and witnessing their love. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

Their wedding day was a seal to it all. Such a nice day for November...Everyone was so awsome. The parents, the bridal party, the guests...Just two very down-to-earth families! Oscar and I adored everything about it. We were also both blown away by how gorgeous the Venetian banquet hall looked! Something we found really funny was the fact that some people asked Oscar if he was Derek's brother. Hahahah! They do have similar features.
We had lots of laughs with Angie and Derek. They are soooo into photos and having fun with it, which made our job so much easier! It was such a great wedding to finish off the season! No one can even imagine how long it took me to select the photos for this blog post....There were way too many I loved!
Angie and Derek, Oscar and I are so thrilled to have met you two! Your love for eachother is inspiring! Thank you for coming to us to capture your special day and for being the two incredible people you are! xoxoxo

Ewelina & Peter - Wedding

What a fantastic wedding! First of all, it was such an honor for me to capture this beautiful couple's day. I mean, I've known Ewelina since the early stages of highschool. Watching her get married was very special!

Peter is THE nicest guy. So down to earth...always smiling...Ewelina, You landed yourself a definite keeper! You guys together have got to be the cutest!!!

The whole day was beautiful...Peter and the guys sporting their top hats, gloves and canes...AMAZING! Ewelina looked stunning. Such a naturally beautiful bride! I kept commenting that while I was editing this wedding. The ceremony part I definitely didn't understand because it was in Polish... I just understand a few general things...but I won't go there..hehehe. At the reception...WHAT A PARTY! No one got off the dance floor for more than 5 minutes! It was a crazy bunch...and i absolutely loved it! I was actually sitting with some other guests that I hadn't seen since highschool days! It was nice going down memory lane and catching up!

Ewelina and Peter, I just want you two to know that Oscar and I love both of you and wish you so much love and happiness in your future! Gotta keep us in it though..;) Have a happily ever after! xoxo

Anna & Daniel - Wedding

Anna and Daniel, I just want to say that it was a privilege capturing your special day! Everything was beautiful! You guys were beautiful! Oscar and I would not stop shooting if you guys didn't say "ummmm, it's time to go to the hall". hehe. It may not look like it, but it was definitely not beach temperature on this day!
These shots were taken in Peniche, Portugal...capital of surf, and where I was born and raised until I was 6. .It was a great feeling.

What a unique experience this wedding was! Oscar and I are both of Portuguese descent, so what better for us than to travel to shoot a destination wedding where we're from!
Vera & Hamilton's pre-wedding and wedding were shot in Lamego, northern Portugal (where Oscar is from), and the trash-the-dress was shot in Peniche (where I'm from).
I actually lived in Lamego for over a year in 2007 and had the privilege of becoming friends with Vera. She knew all about my photography and always had me in mind to shoot her wedding one day. When she contacted me I was super excited to do the photos and Oscar the video. We had such a blast with the two of them. They are a truly amazing couple!
Now some Portugese words to the beautiful couple...
Voces sao lindos! Por fora e por dentro, como casal e como nossos amigos.
Vera, eu ja te conhecia, e depois de conhecer o Mito...eu digo-te...voces sao feitos um para o outro!
Desde a primeira sessao, diverti-me tanto com voces! E aquele frio que apanhamos em Peniche foi fantastico nao foi?! Hehe!

Chery & Robby - Full Wedding

This day was absolutely beautiful! Robby was all relaxed at the hotel, sipping on his woody's cooler...hehe. Everyone just seemed so laid back. No stress. The weather was gorgeous, the outdoor ceremony was spectacular! Chery and Robby, you guys were radiant! We had so much fun capturing your special moments and dancing a bit...haha. And thank you sooo much for coming into our lives! Oscar and I are so greatful for your friendship! We love you guys!

Anna & Daniel - Pre-wedding Session

We met Daniel and Anna a few years ago. Daniel is my best friend's cousin, so we met at family gatherings and so on.
We actually did two photo sessions! The first one...Oh boy...What a hike (eh Anna?!) We walked a few km to get to our spots..haha. Well, I'm never shooting there again, so you guys know you're the only ones that will get those photos from me! haha. I think our second shoot was a lot more fun! I personally love shooting in lifestyle locations, so that's what we did! We had some fun, laughed, and the photos came out awsome! You guys are so cute together! You are becoming pros at posing for me...I can't wait till your wedding day!!!

Chery & Robby - Pre-Wedding

Finally I found some time to update my blog! Woohooo!
So Chery & Robby...well, let's just say we became great friends! Once Robby met Oscar, that was it...like long lost friends! So cute! This was a fantastic day! And a fantastic shoot! We went up to Caledon to shoot at the Clay hills and stopped in other places on the way there, and on the way back. The second last stop was at Fortinos to buy some meat for the bbq...The last stop....Our place for the bbq! ahah! Enjoy the post!

Wedding - Los Cabos

So Oscar and I had a great experience this past week. We travelled to Los Cabos (stayed in L.A. for a full day before), caught some sun, sipped on tropical drinks by the pool, and captured a phenominal wedding at the Barcelo Deluxe Palace. We got to work with Julian Moniz, a very talented photographer and a great friend of ours, who also shot our wedding in Portugal last July. You're amazing!
We got lots of great photos and video of the wedding. I mean, how could we not with such a great looking bride and groom and breathtaking location?!
Frances and Daren, you are a beautiful couple and everyone in your wedding was amazing! We really had a blast with you guys!

Lucy & Jeff's Wedding

What can I say? Lucy & Jeff, I'm extremely happy for you guys and your little one. And extremely honored to have been a part of your and Sophie's special day.
It was their wedding, but it was Sophie's baptism as well! She's adorable!
Although it was extremely cold this day, we managed! Poor Lucy was freezing her bum off because the photographer (me) wanted to continue shooting! We still need to go do that photoshoot..don't forget!!! ;) Oscar and I wish you guys all the best in everything life has to offer!

My New Puppy

So in December I picked up a new member of my family...my Pomeranian puppy Calypso.
Here are a few shots of him that I took before Christmas. He's gonna get tired of the camera..it's always on him! hehe. What can I say...he's now my baby...and a great poser!

Lucy & Jeff's Pre-Wedding Session

Lucy and Jeff are getting married December 4th, and what's so great is that they are also baptizing their 3 month old daughter (who is absolutely adorable) on the same day. These are some photos from their session. Lucy wanted something different from the whole "park" thing, which I totally understand since I'm not a "park" person myself...but sometimes we have to go with what clients want....:D
I found this place in downtown Brampton...turned out to be a pretty good spot. The shots turned out well although it was freezing out. I think this shoot loosened them up for their wedding day photos...Can't wait!!!

Jessica & Anthony - Wedding

So Jessica and I go back about 10 years ago to highschool days...Good ol' Aquinas...and house parties...lol.
It was an honour to photograph her wedding day! Her and Anthony are really an amazing couple! You guys really compliment eachother! And...you were AWSOME to photograph!
Their wedding was at Glen Eagle Golf Club, which had so many places to shoot, it was just too bad it started raining 'cause we would have continued shooting!!!! It was also great seeing a bunch of familiar faces from highschool, and catching up (when I wasn't shooting away).

Monica & Dharmesh - Waterfall Trash-the-Dress

I photographed Monica and Dharmesh's wedding last year, and they decided to get their trash-the-dress photo session done. I was thrilled! Monica was open minded, so I decided to take them to a waterfall in Hamilton. Beautiful place for relaxing! But we didn't go there to relax..we went their to TRASH! But..on the way we had to stop at a cornfield...It IS fall! I tried to capture a lot of the environmental feel. By the end, poor Monica was freezing, but I think the photos were worth the sacrifice! Oscar and I worked this wedding...video and photo. I met Maria and Fred a few months back through Maria's sister Helen. They live in Chicago and decided to get married here in Brampton because of Maria's family. Actually, Fred's best man Anthony (who is also American) told me he laughed when Fred first said he was getting married in Canada. hehehe. Sweet man. OH CANADAAA! It was a great wedding. We even got the groom and the best man to hang off a garbage truck! It was awsome! Well Oscar and I can say that now we have friends to visit in Chicago.. ;) One day! Thank you Maria and Fred for the privilege of being part of your special day. We wish you all the best! And until one day....IN CHICAGO!

Miguel Neves' Baptism in Portugal July 31st

First of all, let me write in english...Miguel has the biggest, softest, cutest cheeks ever!!! ADORABLE!!!
His dad Jorge Neves is a fantastic voice of the portuguese 88.9 CIRV radio. I actually met him at that exact location. He interviewed me for a fashion show I was organizing for Vasco da Gama Cultural Centre of Brampton. Since then..we just clicked and became good friends. I later had the pleasure of meeting his amazing wife Maria and her beautiful daughter Jessica, and later their baby Miguel. Now, when Jorge asked Oscar and I to capture Miguel's baptism in Portugal, I was extremely excited..since we were going to be there ourselves (for our wedding).
Now, since the baptism was in Portugal, and we met their whole family, most of them only understand portuguese, so......

Queria agradecer ao pessoal todo de Chamusca e a familia da Maria. Foi um prazer vos ter conhecido! Sinceramente fizeram-nos sentir como parte da vossa familia, e por isso ficamos muito gratos. Adoramos passar o dia especial do Miguel com voces todos, e esperamos ter oportunidade de vos voltar a ver...se nao for em Portugal, entao que seja aqui no Canada..hehe.

Finally Back to the Real World

Feels like I've been gone for a while. That's because I really have. After preparing our Portugal wedding, being there for a month, trashing my dress, having a blast with our families and friends, shooting there, coming back and moving into our new house, Oscar and I are back to the real world. It's been extremely busy for us! We are now a married couple! Wow! It was an amazing summer! Very memorable! That is also thanks to everyone who was a part of it!

Wow..we had such a great shoot! This was the first time we shot at this place, and we are definately going back. I LOVE abandoned places!!! Sandra was the greatest model though..always up for anything and everything...crazier than us..climbing hay stacks, broken fences...no need to say more. Great job girl! We had some laughs...hehe

Olivia's Godparents!!!

So this past weekend Oscar and I had the most wonderful thing happen to us. We were chosen by my cousin John and his wife Sonya to be beautiful Olivia's Godparents! Johnny & Sonya's Engagement

We were lucky it didn't rain this day. Everytime we wanted to go out to shoot it was raining. So this past weekend it finally happened. These are just a few of the many shots that were taken for Marcelos next CD cover, and for promo purposes...We also shot in studio, but I personally love to shoot outdoors... So we went to Kleinburg this day...went to the McMichael Gallery..untill we got kicked out for not having a permit...hehe...how was I supposed to know it wasn't only weddings we had to get permits for. ;)

Rain rain go away, come back another day....well the rain didn't go away, and if the whole good luck when it rains on your wedding day is true, then this couple is going to have the most luck in the world!!! Besides the rain, it was a great wedding. Very laid back, easy going people.
